FabricVision's STARFLAG and BLOCKFLAG Deliver Record-Scale Visibility At The German Supercup

Signal Iduna-Park Dortmund– Germany – FabricVision GmbH has confirmed the successful deployment of its STARFLAG and BLOCKFLAG textile solutions in a large-format giant flag application at last month’s  German Supercup, one of German football's most closely watched fixtures.

The combination was used by a FabricVision customer to produce a pitch-covering display, demonstrating the fabrics' capability to meet the exacting demands of major sporting events.

As stadium spectacle returns to the forefront of live sport, the visibility demands placed on large-format textiles have never been greater.

Covering a football pitch requires more than scale; it calls for materials that balance size with weight, colour brilliance, and structural integrity under real-world handling conditions. FabricVision's pairing of STARFLAG and BLOCKFLAG was engineered to answer precisely this challenge.

STARFLAG contributes light weight and flexibility without compromising on colour vibrancy, allowing large-format flags to be manoeuvred easily by stadium crews before and during play.

BLOCKFLAG complements this with the opacity required to ensure a clean, professional finish, even at the extreme dimensions demanded by pitch-sized applications.

Together, the two fabrics enabled a result defined by huge format, low weight, brilliant colours, excellent handling and high opacity, ensuring maximum visibility for spectators, broadcasters and sponsors alike.

The materials also carry FR certification, underscoring FabricVision's commitment to safety standards within large-scale event environments.

“This application shows exactly what our STARFLAG and BLOCKFLAG combination was designed for,” said FabricVision. “As major sporting events return to full scale, our customers need textiles that perform under pressure, visually and physically. We are proud to support that ambition.”

With the international sport events calendar now firmly underway, FabricVision says it is positioned to support further large-format applications across football, athletics, and other major sporting disciplines throughout the season.

The company continues to invest in fabric innovation that meets the dual demands of visual impact and sustainable, responsible production.

FabricVision's approach reflects a broader industry shift towards materials that do more with less, delivering scale and spectacle while remaining mindful of weight, handling, and environmental responsibility across the supply chain.
