Terry Jane Robertson/TextureTerry Surface Pattern Design. I love experimenting while creating and combining patterns, implementing color, rhythm, spacing, line, motif, intuition, and delivering unique and useful designs.
I focus mainly on all things that make a home an inviting environment and experience - table linens, wallpaper, upholstery, bedding, pillows, curtains, as well as clothing (including bike kits!) and artwork.
I’m a California native and live in the Los Angeles area. I still take inspiration from the beaches, vintage fabric, 1920’s Spanish architecture, Japanese textiles, the mystique of Laurel Canyon (folksy/hippy/Indienne), galleries and museums (history/tradition), and always the beautiful sunlight and atmosphere of water, landscape, and possibility. I studied painting, drawing, and printmaking, and pursued a fine art career while working as a graphic designer.
