Elizabeth Halpern | Modern Print Craft A textile and surface pattern designer and artist, I create original designs for textiles, wall-coverings, home-wares, fashion, stationery and accessories.

Fluent in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and using digital processes to further develop my hand-drawn and painted artwork, I design modern textile prints inspired mostly by nature and the world around me. After earning my degree in Architecture, second thoughts about my design career prompted a move to New York City.

I landed a job as a design assistant at J.Crew, subsequently discovered textile design and things haven’t been the same since. I’ve been an in-house designer as well as a successful freelance artist for over two decades, creating successful print, woven and knit designs for most apparel categories as well as bedding, home decor and accessories, from concept to production-ready artwork.

I now reside in New York state’s beautiful Hudson River Valley, where I work from my home studio. In addition to developing a library of original designs for sale and license, I seek to collaborate with other designers and manufacturers, creating custom designs for textiles and related products. I am especially interested in designing for home textiles, homewares, interiors, wall-coverings and accessories, but I welcome all enquiries.
