HEIDI VILKMAN

Heidi Vilkman is a licensed illustrator and surface designer, based in UK. Originally from Finland, her nature orientated childhood inspires and informs her designs and pattern work.

Heidi loves creativity in its widest sense, and is always learning new techniques through experimentation. She works in both vector and raster styles and has design experience for various industries, including fabrics and paper goods.

"I always start my designs as hand-drawn motifs, which I then work into patterns using various techniques; the final compilation is always done on the computer, however. If I am working to a client brief, we first discuss the desired approach for that specific brand, in terms of goals and visual language. I am an idea bank, have strong illustration skills, a keen eye for colour and absolutely love new challenges!"
