Zimmer Austria Celebrate A Successful 2021 Featuring Complete Chromojet And Colaris Digital Print Line Installations
In 2021 Zimmer Austria of Kufstein made a large number of sales world wide, with two major digital printing plants being installed in the UK.
These two plants, with their complex fabric supply, pre-print handling & coating, also included fabric steamers for fixation as well as post print dryers and fabric delivery systems provide client specific high quality technical performance.
Digitally Printed Carpets At Phoenox Textiles
Firstly, at Phoenox Textiles Ltd. in the UK, Zimmer have installed and commissioned their CHROMOJET.800-2000 16x256 nozzles print line for the production of carpets made of cotton, Polyamide, Polyester and wool.
This production line includes a fabric feeding system, sewing station, roller accumulator, pre-steamer, lint removal system, CHROMOJET printer, SupraPRESS penetration enhancing system, conveyor steamer for dye fixation, multi-step washing system, multi-layer substrate dryer, exit section with roller compensator and winder.
Additionally, Zimmer supplied a sample printer with laboratory press station.
The new £2m print line gave Phoenox 4x their normal print output allowing them to reach and service new markets including contract and hospitality work.
The improved print and colours produced by this state of the art machine will allow Phoenox to bring further products to market using creative print.

Digitally Printed Upholstery : Complete Line
Secondly, one of the most celebrated Upholstery manufacturers in the UK has ordered a special COLARIS.24-2200 digital print line.
This print line includes unwinding station, pre-treatment application unit, COLARIS printer, steamer for dye fixation, post print washing followed by drying and fabric delivery.
COLARIS is a family of high-performance, high-quality printing machines for all kinds of textile and carpet materials.
Ranging from 2,200 mm up to 5,200 mm printing width, it covers most of the textile applications.
Well-tested inks with high fastness levels are used:
Acid inks for polyamide (nylon) and silk
Reactive and VAT inks for cotton and viscose fibers
Disperse inks for polyester
The COLARIS.TEXTILE PRINTER model is the high-performance printer for special applications
Up to 96 StarFireTM SG1024-SA/MA/LA printheads provide highest performance and reliability
The standard starting version has 6 colors and 2 heads per color, and may be scaled up to 12 colors and 96 heads in total
This printer is the basis for all special inkjet applications and high-speed inkjet prints
Suitable inks: open ink system (reactive, acid, disperse and others)
