Hello! My name is Anna Termtanasak, and I am a print-based designer who graduated from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Textile Design.

Despite having been born in Bangkok, Thailand, I am a curious soul who wants to discover other cultures besides my own.

I am always trying to find the best way to communicate myself and how I see the world through art and patterns.

Much of my work is about capturing the cultural aspect and beauty in mundane objects and places.

My prints are mainly composed of blends of abstract mark makings and decorative images as a response to many themes I have explored in different collections.

Painting is also a massive part of my life as it was all I ever did growing up in an artistic family - I realized after having done two collaborative exhibitions with my older sister, that I wanted to work in the creative field, specifically something very hands-on.

Textile design is perfect for me as it can take multiple forms, so in my work, I’ve explored a whole range of approaches.

My style can change from day to day when inspiration or a new idea comes, but with painting as the main part of my workflow, I initially create hand-drawn pieces which are then developed digitally into my final designs.

This helps me play around with other possibilities whether it's through scale, colour, or composition.

My inspiration as a designer comes from the freedom I have to create in a way that is very personal to me.

Designing is a great way to express my identity, so drawing widely from my upbringing specifically Thai culture, my practice is based on bringing together personal experiences to capture the essence of chosen concepts.

Growing up in a household that loves to collect colorful traditional prints has made me drawn to using clashingly vibrant colours in my works.

I feel enthusiastic when I use strong colors in my work.

It makes me feel that the viewers can absorb the energy that went into creating it.

Having the ability to express my identity and passion worldwide has made textiles my favourite medium of expression.
