MUNICH FABRIC START Sets The Stage For The Future Of Textiles At Its 30th Edition
Munich, Germany – 6 July 2026 – MUNICH FABRIC START, one of Europe's leading international textile trade shows, has announced a comprehensive edutainment programme ahead of its upcoming edition from 14 to 16 July 2026 at the MOC in Munich.
Marking its 30th anniversary, the event will bring together approximately 650 international exhibitors and a top-tier agenda of keynotes, panel discussions, and trend presentations at THE STAGE.
Key exhibitors include Albini Group, Calik Denim, E. Miroglio, FSE Franz Schäfer Etiketten, Gottstein, Ipeker, Sharabati, and WE Nordic Label Studios, among others.
THE STAGE: Where the Industry's Most Pressing Questions Are Answered
Central to this year's programme is THE STAGE, which will serve as the primary hub for interdisciplinary exchange across the European textile and fashion industry.
The agenda addresses some of the sector's most urgent challenges, including the role of artificial intelligence and digitalisation in materials development, the transition to a circular economy, and the implications of evolving regulatory frameworks such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
A highlight of this year's programme will be the first-ever presentation of the "System Design Report for Textiles EPR in Germany", developed by Circular Republic in collaboration with more than 20 stakeholders across the textile value chain.
The report provides concrete recommendations for policymakers and industry alike, bringing one of the European textile sector's most pressing regulatory issues to the fore.
Three Decades of Innovation — and a Look Ahead
Managing Director Florian Klinder will then turn his attention to the road ahead, offering his perspective on the future of the global textile value chain.
Leading trend experts will also present key developments in colour, materials, and design for Autumn/Winter 27/28, providing attendees with actionable forecasts to inform future collections.
