Visa Liberalization Boosts Global Participation
One key factor contributing to the event's diversity was the ease of access to Istanbul, facilitated by visa liberalization. This enabled thousands of visitors from countries including Afghanistan, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the United States, and many more to attend the exhibition without visa complications. This global attendance underscored Istanbul's strategic importance as a hub for international trade and collaboration.
Exhibitor Satisfaction and New Business Opportunities
The diverse visitor profile allowed exhibitors to engage with a wide range of potential clients, fostering new business relationships and collaborations. Many exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the event, noting the opportunity to meet customers from countries that face challenges attending European exhibitions due to visa restrictions. Notably, visitors from Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Mauritius, Mongolia, and Tuvalu highlighted the exhibition's global reach and attractiveness.
Record-Breaking Sales and Collaborations
ITM 2024 proved to be a catalyst for significant business transactions, with machine sales and collaborations generating a total business volume exceeding 1.5 billion euros over the five-day event. This surge in trade provided a much-needed boost to the textile machinery industry, which had experienced a slowdown since September 2022. The dynamic environment of ITM 2024 invigorated both exhibitors and visitors, creating a ripple effect of economic vitality.
Showcasing the Future of Textile Technologies
With the motto "Discover the Future," ITM 2024 was a showcase of the latest innovations in textile technologies.
