The Durst Group Secure Four Prestigious EDP Awards at FESPA Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain - 28 May 2026 – Durst Group has been honoured with four EDP Awards at the recent FESPA Global Print Expo in Barcelona, recognising its cutting-edge Durst P5 technology, sustainable Durst Entera LED Inks, and the forward-looking Open Software Initiative.

These accolades underscore the company's authoritative position in driving innovation and addressing critical, industry-wide challenges within the digital printing landscape.

The European Digital Press Association acknowledged Durst Group across several highly competitive categories.

  • The company secured the award for the Best Flatbed and Hybrid system operating at 150 to 400 square metres per hour for its Durst P5 350 CORE.

  • Additionally, the Durst P5 SMP was named the Best Multipass Corrugated platform.

  • Highlighting a commitment to more sustainable production methods, the Durst Entera LED Inks won the Best UV Ink System.

  • Furthermore, Durst received the esteemed Industry Achievement Award for its leadership in the Open Software Initiative.

Launched in 2007, the annual EDP Awards remain amongst the most respected technical accolades in the digital printing, publishing, and packaging sectors.

A consortium of twenty-one European trade magazines meticulously evaluates and presents these awards to champion the most innovative solutions pushing the market forward.

Reflecting on the achievement, Durst Group CEO and owner Christoph Gamper noted that the recognition validates the company's long-term vision. Gamper said, "Awards are not the reason we do this work. They never were. But they are a signal that years of engineering discipline, customer focus, and conviction about where this industry is heading are beginning to compound. Most of all, I am proud of the team. R&D, software, product management, service, operations, sales, marketing, and everyone who carried out this Fespa week."

Gamper also highlighted the rigorous effort and ethical dedication required behind the scenes. "Trade shows look glamorous from the outside. The reality is long nights, pressure, thousands of small decisions, and people willing to stay when others already went to sleep. Endurance matters. Consistency matters," he stated.

Addressing the urgency of adapting to an evolving technological ecosystem, Gamper shared a clear vision for the industry's future. "Our commitment to graphics is unbroken. We believe deeply in this market and in the customers who built it with us over decades. And we are far from done. At the same time, the Kyveris Sandbox in Barcelona showed where the next chapter is heading. Not away from machines. Beyond machines alone. Toward production systems that learn, adapt, connect, and improve continuously."
