The Norafin company has introduced the first 100% full sustainable Wallpaper- a 65% Linnen & 35% Rayon without any chemical additives.

Thanks to the natural components - flax and viscose – the Extra Organic wallcovering promotes a natural indoor climate and is bio- degradable, as certified by OEKO-TEX according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (16.0.90034 HOHENSTEIN HTTI) andlabelled accordingly.

Norafin is a pioneer with its Extra Organic brand which is digitally printable with aqueous pigment Inks to get the first- 100% sustainable wallpaper

Both Canon Production Printing and HP have printed, tested and approved Norafin’s 100% ecological flax materials on their large format printers.

The linen wallcover can also be excellently printed with the aqueous pigment inks of HP Latex, Durst, Aleph, Epson, and with UV LED inks.

Their customers in the field of digital printing confirm this and ensure colorful and elegant designs on the walls of their project partners.

The Extra Organic flax wallpaper is a nonwoven wallpaper consisting to 100% of natural fibers.

A wall decoration, giving your home a completely new nature-flair.

The flax fibers are clearly visible at the surface of the wallpaper and thus, give the natural wallpaper its distinctive appearance.

Moreover, its excellent properties fit perfectly in ecological and sustainable room concepts.

What most people do not know is that our flax wallpaper is a specialist in heat insulation. In comparison to conventional wallpapers, it can retain the coziness of the room much longer.

Furthermore, the wallpaper consisting of flax and viscose fibers is extremely tear-resistant, has sound absorbing properties and stands out due to its superior UV-resistance.

This ecological wallcover is made of linen materials from sustainable sources, and with Extra Organic, Norafin have succeeded in trans- forming flax fibers into a tear-resistant ecological wallcover, which is characterized by high UV resistance, heat insulation and sound absorbing properties.

About Norafin

Norafin has been developing waterjet nonwovens from flax fibers since 2006 and has since been able to extend this knowledge to other animal and plant fibers (e.g. flax, sheep's wool) as well as to sustainable and biodegradable regenerated fibers (e.g. viscose, lyocell).

Our technologies allow us to process the natural fibers without adding chemical substances and to create high-performance nonwovens for industrial use.

Further functionalization through ecological finishes as well as the combination with other fiber types or textile fabrics are possible.

When processing thermoplastic fibers, we pay attention to the increased use of recycled PET fibers from European reprocessing plants. Polylactide (PLA) fibers are also frequently used as a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based fibers.
