Ambassador Textiles are wholesale textiles merchants and importers with over 45-years experience in the industry.
Established in 1972 they have developed from humble beginnings into the busy textile merchants they are today, supplying a comprehensive range of fabrics to the wholesale, retail, manufacturing & upholstery industries.
Having outgrown their warehouse and office space at the Huddersfield Road site where they had been based since 1989, they have, earlier this year, moved to a brand new 18,000 square foot unit which has been designed and fitted out to their own specification.
The huge warehouse space has been planned to maximise efficiency of stock management and provide speedy delivery to the customer as well as giving them room to cope with their ever increasing products and range of colours due to customer demand.
New offices have been designed and built allowing them to accommodate a spacious showroom and boardroom.
Ambassador Textiles have been supplying fabrics for sublimation printing for more than five years, and our portfolio continues to grow.
The more they learn about the expanding possibilities of sublimation printing, the keener they are to expand their products.
They currently stock twenty-four sublimation fabrics, ranging from an artistic canvas to soft touch velvet, and including polycotton and polysatin as well as faux suede.
Ever evolving technology means that sublimation printing is one of the most popular processes in the industry.
Sublimation printing uses heat sensitive inks and polyester. When the heat is applied, the inks diffuse into the melting polyester.
This creates one colourfast unit, meaning the original shape, drape and texture of the fabric isn’t lost.
In a world where an original idea is more difficult to come by, customization is key.
Sublimation printing gives you the option to produce original, personalised fabrics efficiently and at a lower cost than traditional print methods, while the colourfastness of the process means your design will last without risk of fading.
In a fast-moving industry, the ease of the process means a quick turnaround and shorter production runs, giving you time to market your products while constantly adapting to trends.
Sublimation is now used to apply images and designs to upholstery, curtains, lampshades, carpets, cushions, furniture, window blinds and much more.
Traditional printing methods came with high set-up costs and long lead times so the arrival of digital dye sublimation in the mid-90’s was more than welcome.
This high-quality process now is considered a ‘must have’ service as the range of options continues to expand.
