Ever Dye Raises €3.4 Million To Clean Up The Textile Industry

In order to significantly reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of fashion manufacturers, Ever Dye has developed a dye without chemical inputs and 15 times less energy-consuming.
To quickly establish itself on the market, the startup now wants to enter the industrialization phase.
52% of the textile industry's greenhouse gas emissions come from dyeing. And the latter is directly responsible for 20% of global water pollution.
It is from this observation that the startup Ever Dye started.
In July 2021, they developed a dye without chemical inputs, which divides by 15 the amount of energy needed to be produced:
"There are two major energy-intensive steps in the application of dye. The first which aims to whiten the fabric requires heating it to 90 degrees for an hour. The second lasts, meanwhile, 3 to 6 hours and heats the textiles up to 130 degrees to fix the colors, "says Ilan Palacci, co-founder of the company alongside Amira Erokh. To limit CO2 emissions during this process, Ever Dye has developed a new bleaching process, effective at 50 degrees, which allows the fabric to be "pre-treated" so that dyes adhere more easily. "Thanks to this, the colors can be fixed at room temperature during the second stage," says the manager.
Ever Dye Is Super Proud To Announce Their New 3,4M€ Seed Round.
Their mission is to become the sustainable dyeing standard for the global textile industry.
They use science as a tool to design better interactions with our ecosystem.
Science’s potential to change our lives remains largely untapped.
They use the most advanced frontier of knowledge to create and apply colors in harmony with nature.
They believe the curiosity, tenacity and exploration found in scientific research is the core driver of the creative mindsets that pushes boundaries.
Combined with primal elements and first principles, they are the two forces that bound us together on our quest for a new standard.
Patented innovation
Our innovation solves two problems at once: the synthesis and the attachment of dyes.
Made out of organic and inorganic natural elements, it steps away from petroleum-based dyes, making it non-toxic.
Combining pigment with a biosourced organic polymer binding agent, it offers perfect electrostatic attachment while using no heat and short amounts of time.
Last but not least, our technology makes the cleaning of the water after the process easy as a pie - just a simple mechanical filter is necessary to release fresh water into our ecosystem.
To tackle such a massive industry, you obviously need to be well surrounded.
So we would like to warmly thank and welcome our new partners: Maki.vc, Asterion Ventures & Entrepreneur First.
This fundraising allows us to consider moving up a gear to :
🧵 Finalize the development of four colors.
🧵 Industrialize our pigment production and dyeing process.
🧵 Onboard our global partners and launch our first collections.
Congratulations to the whole team for this great milestones, and many thanks to our partners that have supported us since day one: Fashion for Good, ANDAM, Agoranov, WILCO & Genopole.
Finally, we’re announcing our collaboration with Petit Bateau to bring our sustainable colors to the market, and make beautiful colors for kids.
