Viscom 2026 Unveils Conference Programme ─ Spanning Sensory Printing, Colour Management And Retail Design

Milan, Italy – 26 August 2026 – Viscom, the international event dedicated to technologies, applications and materials for visual communication and the graphic arts, has revealed the key themes shaping its 2026 Conference programme.

Taking place on 28 and 29 October at the Allianz MiCo Convention Center in Milan, the event will explore how technological innovation, creativity and design capabilities are converging to transform the industry.

With its new Exhibition & Conference format, Viscom is strengthening its role as a hub for visual communication in Italy.

The exhibition area will be complemented by a series of events focusing on the trends redefining the sector, presented directly by market leaders through the contribution of exhibiting companies.

From developments in digital printing to the design of commercial spaces, the programme offers companies, professionals and innovators the opportunity to exchange ideas through practical case studies, real-world experiences and future development scenarios.

The Conference programme will open with The European House – Ambrosetti, presenting research carried out for Viscom on the Italian visual communication value chain.

This strategic overview sets the stage for a series of sessions at the Conference Arena, guiding visitors through the issues reshaping the industry.

Sensory printing will feature prominently, with Bompan exploring how digital printing is moving beyond sight to engage the senses of touch and smell, opening new market opportunities.

Epson Italia will address colour management, demonstrating how integrated hardware and software tools can reduce errors, waste and reprints while delivering a competitive advantage.

Growth strategies for creative businesses will also take centre stage, with Roland DG examining development models made possible by digital technologies and the cross-fertilisation of skills and industries.

The design of Retail and Hospitality spaces will be explored by 3M, showing how materials, finishes and communication solutions can transform environments to enhance the customer experience. HP will illustrate how artificial intelligence, automation and sustainability are shaping the future of large-format printing.

Partner associations ALA Assoarchitetti, SIEC and ASAL Assoallestimenti will further enrich the programme with dedicated sessions on design, spatial innovation and the evolution of retail.

Among the most anticipated events is DIVA – Display Italia Viscom Award, the international competition dedicated to P.O.P., display design, shopfitting and retail display furniture.

Now in its 16th edition, DIVA will focus on two macro-categories, Mass Market and Lifestyle, with the awards ceremony taking place on 29 October.

The 12th edition of Elementaria, an exhibition of hi-design prototypes dedicated to innovation in materials, displays and retail fixtures, will also return.

“Visual communication is undergoing a profound transformation, in which technological innovation, creativity and design capabilities are becoming increasingly interconnected,” comments Cecilia Montalbetti, Exhibition Manager at Viscom. “With the new Exhibition & Conference format, we want to create a space where these transformations can be shared and discussed, fostering dialogue between different areas of expertise and providing professionals with practical tools to address the challenges of the market. Our goal is to make Viscom a place where technologies are not simply showcased, but where visions and opportunities for the future of the industry are developed.”

The Conference programme will continue to expand over the coming weeks with new sessions.

Viscom 2026 will be open to visitors from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both days.

Pre-registration is already open via the event website, where visitors can also consult the constantly updated exhibitor catalogue and find all information regarding the venue, opening hours and access procedures.
