Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems To Showcase Future-Forward Digital Cutting Solutions At FESPA Global Print Expo 2026

Gent Belgium – April 2026 – Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (PCS) announces its participation in the FESPA Global Print Expo 2026, taking place from 19 to 22 May at Fira de Barcelona.

On stand 3/C111, the company will demonstrate its commitment to innovation and productivity, revealing how its best-in-class solutions, industry partnerships, and material expertise support sign, display, and packaging producers in overcoming contemporary business challenges.

Visitors to the Kongsberg PCS stand will experience advanced cutting table configurations designed for rigid, flexible, textile, and corrugated applications.

The display includes the Kongsberg C connected to the new Smart Material Handler for mid-range automation, and the Kongsberg Ultimate, equipped with an advanced Feeder and Stacker alongside the new Extended Automation Safety (EAS) system.

The EAS provides a structured safety approach that ensures operational stability and operator protection in highly automated environments. Additionally, the Kongsberg X will be spotlighted for its unparalleled flexibility.

Making its European debut on the X series is the new Inkjet Marking Module (IMM), a revolutionary solution replacing manual marking steps.

The IMM addresses the urgent industry requirement to comply with new EU regulations regarding packaging labelling and track-and-trace capabilities.

Offering resolutions up to 600 dpi and seamless integration with the i-cut Production Console (iPC), the module prints essential production data, barcodes, and logos directly onto materials ranging from corrugated board to foam.

Kongsberg PCS continues to push technological boundaries with new enhancements, including the Kongsberg PressCut Knife Tool.

Designed to match the high production speeds of the Ultimate, this tool ensures precise kiss-cutting for adhesive vinyl and foils.

Software capabilities are also expanding, with iPC updates streamlining job preparation and a new ai-cut plug-in generating pre-production metadata directly within Adobe Illustrator.

Underscoring its commitment to ethical practices and community support, Kongsberg PCS has pledged assistance to the FESPA Foundation.

The company is donating custom-designed corrugated school satchels, complete with educational tools, to underprivileged students in sub-Saharan Africa.

Furthermore, David Preskett, Vice President EMEA and APAC, will address the global packaging industry's future at the co-located Corrugated event on 20 May.

Stuart Fox, President and CEO of Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems, said, “At this year’s FESPA Global Print Expo 2026, we are focusing on innovative solutions that encourage sign, display and packaging producers to look to the future of their operations. By investing in partnerships and versatile solutions that are designed to scale as their business grows, sign, display and packaging producers can not only adapt to fast-changing market needs but also deliver better value to their customers. That’s why, at this year’s event, we’re showcasing our industry-leading solutions as well as highlighting a range of flexible tooling, automation modules, our software suite and our support options, all designed to make business growth aspirations a reality.”
