Epson & Yuima Nakazato To Showcase Digital Textile Printing And Sustainability In Fashion And Apparel As They Participate In SB 2022 Yokohama
TOKYO, Japan, February 17, 2022 -Seiko Epson Corporation (TSE: 6724, "Epson") will participate in Sustainable Brands 2022 Yokohama ("SB'22 Yokohama"), a hybrid international conference that is to be held both online and at the Pacifico Yokohama North on February 24 and 25.
At this year's event, Epson will showcase its efforts to enhance sustainability in the fashion and apparel industry.
Textile printing technology is used for printing on fabrics used for apparel. Among them, digital textile printing eliminates the plate-making process required in conventional analog textile printing and prints directly from the data, allowing personalization and customized designs to be printed, as well as small-quantity on-demand and multi-variety printing according to demand.
Moreover, it takes less printing time.
By producing only what is needed, when it is needed, the technology helps reduce unsold apparel products and waste loss.
In other words, digital textile printing using inkjet technology allows us to flexibly respond to demand fluctuations and reduce environmental impact.
SB'22 Yokohama will be the fifth time Epson has featured at a Sustainable Brands conference.
At the same time as the Yokohama event, SB'22 Asia-Pacific, the first such multilateral conference, will be held in Korea, Malaysia and Thailand.
Those conferences provide participants with an opportunity to highlight their sustainability efforts with the aim of building corporate recognition and promoting engagement.
Epson will participate in three programs at SB'22 Yokohama.
