Epson to Reveal Advanced Textile and UV Printing Innovations at Fespa Global Print Expo 2026
Epson will present its latest professional printing technologies at the Fespa Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona from 19 to 22 May.
Located in Hall 3, Stand C75, the exhibition will strongly focus on sustainable textile production and UV printing.
The stand will bring together authoritative solutions spanning dye-sublimation, direct-to-film, direct-to-fabric, signage, and UV printing, alongside sophisticated colour management and workflow tools designed to support highly efficient and ethical production practices.
Textile printing will be a central theme for the technology innovator, addressing the urgent demand for reliable, high-quality production amid the global boom in apparel customisation.
Epson will preview two new dye-sublimation developments ahead of their formal launch in early May.
This includes a compact desktop dye-sublimation printer engineered to complete Epson’s small-format portfolio and support short-run personalised production with a reduced environmental impact.
Advancing its UV printing capabilities, the company will also showcase the SureColor SC-V4000 A1+ UV flatbed printer.
This forward-thinking technology empowers businesses to offer a diverse range of applications, including personalised items, photography, fine art, and signage, while maintaining a relatively compact footprint that supports efficient operational practices.
Phil McMullin, head of sales commercial and industrial at Epson UK, noted that digital textile print is experiencing rapid technological advances as manufacturers address the growing opportunity in apparel personalisation. “Previously, this market was largely unfamiliar to Western markets; with Chinese manufacturers utilising Epson printheads to drive their generally unsophisticated print systems,” McMullin said. “Now the OEMs have become involved, we are seeing big leaps in print quality but also critically in reliability.”
“The textile market over the last four years has been flooded by direct-to-film printers, mostly manufactured in China,” McMullin continued. “Whilst these units have helped grow the DTF market, they generally suffer from multiple issues such as inconsistent print quality, poor reliability and high total cost of ownership. Garment decorators that have switched to Epson have seen the benefits of machine-controlled maintenance, inks and hardware designed from scratch to work perfectly in unison, and therefore much improved uptime and less wastage. All this delivers lower total running costs and therefore better profitability.”
Building on the success of the SureColor G6000, Epson will display its new high-production SureColor G9000 printer.
Designed to appeal to higher volume producers of direct-to-film applications, the system features a wider print area and rapid print speeds. “As always, all system components including the printheads and ink are both designed and manufactured by Epson to ensure the highest print quality and market leading reliability,” McMullin added.
