The new Epson S7100 has been integrated as part of a complete print-and-cut workflow, accompanied by a Summa D140FX vinyl plotter, a Kala Ginkolam laminator, ONYX RIP software, and ImagePerfect media.
This strategic combination ensures a seamless production line capable of meeting the increasing demands of the modern signage and graphics market.
Replacing the previous 4-colour S40600 model, the Epson S7100 brings substantial technological upgrades to the Millbrook Press facility.
The machine features a new 1.33-inch PrecisionCore print head, which delivers an output speed increase of over 20 per cent.
Additionally, the unit incorporates smarter nozzle monitoring systems to ensure cleaner, more stable colour reproduction, reducing downtime and waste associated with print errors.
A key driver behind this installation is the industry's urgent shift towards sustainable practices.
The S7100 utilises 800 ml ink pouches rather than traditional cartridges, a design innovation that reduces plastic waste by more than 80 per cent.
This reduction aligns with the growing imperative for print service providers to lower their carbon footprint without compromising on quality or performance.
