Arts Thread & Centro Mexico City Put On A Dazzling Display Of Design During The Dia Del Muertos Festival

CENTRO Mexico City, one of world’s leading design institutions joined with Arts Thread to host a groundbreaking 4-Day Symposium, Exhibition and Fashion Show celebrating Diversity, Innovation, Sustainability and the Future of Fashion in Mexico City!
Held October 28th to 31st, the event coincided with a celebration of CENTRO's 20th anniversary, plus Mexico Design Week and the globally renowned Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival.
Arts Thread worked with CENTRO to invite educators and students to join in this global celebration of design and fashion. The event will not only mark CENTRO’s 20th anniversary but also continue Arts Thread’s commitment to showcasing the best new talent in creative fields, providing opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing between institutions and designers worldwide.

We were honoured to have in our Symposium a wide range of experts such as Sara Sozzani Maino, Creative Director - Fondazione Sozzani, Rina Tollio, Creative Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding - OTB Group (Diesel, Jill Sander, Maison Margiela, Marni, Viktor&Rolf, Amiri etc.), Justin Newlin, Director of Executive Search:: PVH Corp. (Calvin Klein + Tommy Hilfiger), Nicolas Martin Garcia, Creative Director of GARCIAS, and many more industry experts.
The Global Fashion Graduate event was the first of its kind, with 2024 being the inaugural year.
The event offered an immersive experience, bringing together fashion leaders, designers, and industry experts to explore the most relevant challenges and opportunities in fashion today.
The event concluded with a spectacular fashion show, showcasing the unique collections of these diverse emerging fashion graduates.
Global Fashion Graduate will be a touring concept, where each year will bring a new country to play host for the show and festivities .
