Roland DG Launches the TrueVis AG-640 ─ The World's First Latex Printer/Cutter

Hamamatsu, Japan – 2 September 2026 – Roland DG Corporation, the world's leading provider of wide-format digital printing solutions, today announced the launch of the TrueVis AG-640, a next-generation 64-inch latex printer/cutter that expands what's possible with latex printing.

Combining low running costs, high output quality, expanded colours, dense white ink, and integrated contour cutting, the AG-640 helps print professionals move beyond traditional latex limits to take on more profitable work with confidence.

As demand grows for high-quality, fast-turnaround print applications at reduced operating costs, businesses need solutions that combine speed, flexibility, reliability and efficiency.

The AG-640 meets these needs, giving print service providers, sign makers and graphics professionals a versatile solution for producing a wide range of applications from a single device.

Built on Roland DG's long-standing print-and-cut expertise, the AG-640 is the world's first latex printer with integrated cutting functionality, enabling users to contour cut and print seamlessly.

It is particularly well suited for businesses looking to maximise available floor space and efficiently handle a variety of work, from wraps, wallcoverings, banners and posters, to stickers, labels and decals.

The integrated cutting design maintains the high levels of cut accuracy customers expect from Roland DG's eco-solvent and UV platforms.

The AG-640 uses Roland DG's newly developed TA-2 water-based latex inks and the latest piezo printheads to deliver high-precision dot control and consistent, high-definition output.

In addition to standard CMYK, the inclusion of Orange and Red inks significantly expands the colour gamut, while high-density White ink extends creative possibilities on transparent, coloured and specialty materials.

An integrated optimiser ensures stable ink placement and improved adhesion, particularly on commonly used sign media such as PVC.

Designed with versatility at its core, the AG-640 supports signage and display graphics, vehicle graphics, window displays, exhibition and event visuals, and customised interior décor. Its instant-dry latex ink technology enables immediate finishing with no outgassing required, helping businesses accelerate turnaround times and take on a wider range of jobs.

Sustainability sits at the heart of the design.

The AG-640's water-based latex inks are developed with environmental and workplace considerations in mind.

Low odour and reduced environmental impact make the printer ideal for sensitive environments such as hospitals, schools, and public facilities.

Combined with competitive running costs, it offers an attractive alternative for businesses looking to upgrade existing latex solutions or transition from solvent or UV printing technologies.

"With the TrueVis AG-640, we are introducing a new level of performance and productivity to latex printing," said Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer, Global Sales and Marketing Division, Roland DG. "By combining efficient running costs with outstanding image quality, expanded colour capabilities, and the convenience of integrated print-and-cut, the AG-640 allows our customers to differentiate their offerings, increase their profits, and grow their businesses with confidence."

The TrueVis AG-640 will be available from 2 September 2026 via Roland DG and authorised partners worldwide.
