[JOBS] SENIOR ASSISTANT PRINT DESIGNER - WW ASOS DESIGN
As a Senior Assistant Print Designer, you will be working closely with the rest of the Print Team who design the amazing prints and graphics for our twenty something customer and are an integral part of our in-house Design team.

You’ll be…
Supporting and working with the Print Team in all aspects of the design process
Researching, developing and creating all-over prints and graphics across all categories.
Managing a couple of categories yourself, building relationships with the designers and buyers on them and driving print on those departments.
Reacting to sales information on your categories. Problem solving for the department and designing commercially relevant prints and graphics.
Reporting into a senior member of the print team and assisting them with day-to-day jobs.
Working very closely with the other print assistants on trend work and helping out with admin duties where necessary.
Researching current and future trends using multiple sources to identify newness and interpret into first to market prints and graphics.
Adhering to the critical path to achieve deadline, ensuring prints and graphics are delivered for the relevant and optimum selling period.
At ASOS it's all about newness so researching trend, creating mood boards and sharing creative ideas is key to improve and develop the ASOS collection and to create print trends for the season.
This may also include creating shop reports, producing catwalk/street style overviews and sourcing vintage prints and graphics.
You will also work alongside the buying teams to react to sales information and, alongside the Print Team, present print and graphics ideas and develop first to market prints to drive the ranges across all categories in design.

Previous print design experience for an aspirational brand or similar high street retailer
Strong commercial handwriting and a good understanding of the ASOS Brand and customer.
A fashion forward perspective
Experience of working with buyers and delivering first to market prints.
Impressive hand painting skills and the ability to be versatile and adapt to a variety of styles. Evidence of this in sketchbook work etc is essential.
Great computer skills including: Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft office and CAD
A love for researching the latest print trends for the fashion forward 20 something customer
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work in fast moving and reactive business with multiple deadlines
The ability to communicate to the team & senior management about print strategy for your categories.
The confidence to identiy problems and make improvement suggestions seeking practical ways to overcome barriers and remain calm under pressure.
