In its 34th edition, the Milan fair has once again earned the top spot as the must-attend European visual communication gathering, packed with leading brands making it undoubtedly the most international, innovative and creative calendar event.

It won’t be long before the annual appointment for visual communication professionals kicks off at Rho Fiera Milano from Oct. 4 to 6, Halls 8/12, anticipating all the latest styles and industry trends.

An engaging format touching on different topics such as: advertising, photography, design, artificial intelligence, interior design, fashion, packaging, sustainability and retail.

Viscom Italia Awards

Enhancing retail sector creativity is the common thread of the 13th edition of DIVA Display Italia Viscom Award. The international competition having once again earned the spot as the benchmark for discovering the best display designs that we will come across in future retail outlets. Design firms, creative agencies and commissioning companies will compete it out in the following competition categories: durable, nondurable display solutions, Digital Signage, Soft Signage, Retail design, Shelf design and Shop Fitting. Chairing the jury is Cristiana Sormani, Trade Marketing Manager, Pharmacy Channel, at Bayer Consumer Healthcare. Along with: Sara Appiani, Buyer POS Cardboard, at L'Oréal Italia - Maria Antonietta Iacovaccio, Retail Director, CEF, at la Farmacia Italiana - Giuliana Castelli, Marketing Manager, at H.I.C. Aldo Coppola Group - Federica Brumen, Research & Development Manager, at COMIECO and Valentina Carmone, Trade Marketing Manager, at Salomon - Patrizio Guastaferro, Category Manager Coordinator, at Mediaworld; Luciano Villani, at Coop Italia and Valentina Lamperti, at Luxury Lab Cosmetics will crown the DIVA 2023 winners.

The Elementaria Exhibition

To give companies and designers an ever-widening window into the visual communication world, the Elementaria exhibition will highlight the excellence of materials expressed through several hi-design prototypes conceived to show off all the new business models orientated to display furniture production for the brand industry.

The following designers: Alex Bocchi, Doppiosegno, Massimo Farinatti, Gianluigi Landoni, Giorgio Gurioli, Marco Maggioni, Meregalli Merlo, Maurizio Milani, Giovanni Pierantoni and Cristian Visentin take centre stage.

 The tangible commitments to promote responsible communication has again been upheld by RX Italy and Viscom Italia with a number of initiatives combining production ethics, respect for the environment and quality of life for everyone.

For example, the event teams up with an extremely important partner Trenitalia, inviting exhibitors and visitors to book their travel taking advantage of Frecce, saving up to 80 percent off train tickets.

For anyone wanting to stay in an eco-friendly Milan based hotel, a number have been selected that combine elegance, style and attention to the environment.

After last year's success, the "Together Against Hunger" initiative returns again in support of Banco Alimentare of Lombardy. Once more, during the event, it will be possible to buy a sandwich and/or lunch box.

Thus donating 1 euro to the Foundation, which will intern be used to distribute meals to needy individuals and families through local charitable facilities. Free re-usable water bottles will be given out, helping to avoid plastic waste when refilled at water dispensers stationed throughout the fair pavilions.

Never ceasing to keep its audience surprised, Viscom Italia has launched a new Immersive Experience area dedicated to the visual community. The new space will be animated by artificial intelligence and augmented reality created images, making it the perfect backdrop for selfies and videos to post on social channels using the #viscomitalia2023 hashtag.

The Talent Hub is the space for new generations to get involved. ITS Academy Angelo Rizzoli foundation has confirmed its collaboration, setting up training courses and thematic insights dedicated to future visual communication professionals. Second-year students from ITS courses will guide schools to discover all the latest technologies, solutions and the most innovative products on display at the fair.
