Textile Print Design : A Short Course At The Chelsea College Of Arts
Join this Textile Print Design course and learn how to transform your own drawn or found images into a motif and design for print. You will learn a variety of textile printing techniques and how to source fabrics and print materials.
We'll demonstrate a mix of techniques including dyeing of silk and cotton and screen printing onto a variety of different fabrics.
You'll have the opportunity to experiment with a range of printing techniques including pigment binders, metallics, flock & foil using the heat transfer press, and specialist printing of silk using acid dyes.
Please bring items that inspire you and you would like to draw – these will form the basis of your designs.
