The Society of Dyers and Colourists Announces Elizabeth Straughan as President for 2026/27

Bradford – June 2026 – The Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Straughan FSDC CCol FRSA as President for the 2026/27 term, marking a significant moment for the global colour community.

Straughan brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent her career working across textile dyeing, finishing, machinery sales, and textile chemicals.

This breadth of expertise spans both the technical and commercial dimensions of the global textile industry, positioning her to lead the Society through an evolving landscape
