From Algae To Vegan Skin—An Industry In Search Of Sustainable Materials At Future Fabrics Expo

Sustainability is featured in London. Between 29 and 30 January, The Sustainable Angle will hold the Future Fabrics Expo, one of Europe's largest showcases of sustainable textile materials.
The event, which will take place in the Victoria House space on Southampton Row, will feature companies specializing in organic cotton fabrics, regenerated cellulose, recycled textiles, low environmental impact dyes, vegan skin, materials from algae or food waste.
According to the organizers, the objective of the event is to discover new textile materials that are sustainable, traceable and responsibly produced; better understand the efforts of the textile sector to design and manufacture with greater sustainability; provide information so that professionals can make sound decisions about their sustainable sourcing.
Brands, which inform about their supply chains and their manufacturing process are another objective of the event.
Future Fabrics Expo Also Has A Seminar Program
In parallel, Future Fabrics Expo also has a program of seminars to discuss the future and challenges of the sector.
In addition, the event will also launch a space for technology companies and new materials.
The fair was born nine years ago by The Sustainable Angle.
The entity is a non-profit organization that aims to approach sustainability in the fashion, industry, food and agriculture sectors.
The organization works to connect companies and suppliers specialized in sustainability, researches sustainable materials alternatives and identifies new innovations in the market and helps companies in making decisions about the use of materials low environmental impact
